welcome,

I’m Dawn!

I empower adults with ADHD to move from feelings of “Overwhelm” and frustration to empowerment and hope. Through understanding their unique brain wiring, I guide them to reconnect with themselves, reclaim confidence and create a life they love without guilt or self doubt.

Are you ready to turn your brain off at night and create the life that you were meant to live?

How my journey into coaching began…

I worked as a Nuclear Medicine professional at a prestigious medical facility for 23 years. As my children grew up, I could see that what seemed easy for other parents was becoming problematic for me – even simple everyday tasks, social behaviors, time management, goal-setting, problem-solving and simple organization. At 49, I was diagnosed with ADHD.

What Is Coaching?

At ADHD Brain Understood, coaching focuses on the future. The client and the coach are equal partners in our relationship. I won’t tell you what to do, how to feel, or do the work for you. We will, however, focus on your specific goals and I’ll support your journey, starting with where you are now and where you are headed. Coaching can focus on relationships, careers, obstacles, and a positive, proactive approach. I will focus on the “WHO” to assist you in being the best version of yourself that you can be. We all have places in our life where we struggle, by working together, we will address those struggles and find solutions tailored to assist you in overcoming them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Coaching sessions can be conducted in person, on the phone, or via Google meet. Before the coaching process occurs, the client and coach should have a preliminary meeting that addresses topics such as clients needs, expectations, fees and anticipated length of time for the coaching.

100%! What happens in our sessions stays in our sessions, just like seeing a therapist.

The length of time that your coaching process will take depends on the complexity of your goals and your commitment and openness to your process.

Function is just as important as a diagnosis. If you are struggling or need support because of executive functioning skills, I can help you. (Ex. starting/completing tasks, organization, working memory, emotional regulation, time management, etc.). Coaching is an interactive experience where we discover your goals and your passions and use them to help you travel down a path to the life you want.

No problem! You can reach me by phone or email between sessions.
